Hi everyone, We had a very productive call today and wrapped up our first-pass review of patterns in Making Content Usable. The minutes from today's call, December 18, 2024 <https://www.w3.org/2024/12/18-global-inclusion-minutes.html>, provide details on feedback for Objectives 6, 7, and 8. I am so thankful for this *VERY FUN* and *VERY TALENTED* group and all that we have accomplished during the past few months. It is such an honor to work with passionate and intelligent people who generously volunteer their time to build a more inclusive world. I am grateful for each person who has faithfully contributed to this work, but I want to express special thanks to the following people: - *Philipp* - for sharing his expertise, nestled in his wit and humor and for his faithful participation, even though our meetings are way past his bedtime in Tokyo. - *Andy* for stepping up to be co-chair and for bringing her extensive experience, passion, skills, and insights to this work. - *Jean* for reaching out to help on multiple occasions and for allowing us to leverage her amazing spreadsheet ninja skills to make our work easier. - *Katy* for helping with our first pass through the Content Usable patterns and for leveraging her expertise in linguistics to provide feedback on how to integrate internationalization. - *Tiffany* for her unique insights and for sharing her expertise and ideas on how we can leverage AI to help with this work. - *Julie Rawe* for her consistent support and for mentoring me and helping me understand the history that led to the development of this group. - *Lisa Seeman* for doing all the hard work to get the group set up and for helping us with direction. - *John Kirkwood* for his faithful attendance and for leveraging his experience in both COGA and in his "day job." Thank you, John for faithfully sharing lessons learned and resources that apply to the work of this group. - *Frankie* for helping us identify patterns in feedback and for offering some very key ideas about possible adjustments that will improve overall usability and internationalization issues. - *Makoto* for helping us identify internationalization gaps in Content Usable and for sharing other W3C resources and groups that we can connect with as we continue addressing how Content Usable and AG guidance can be written to support multiple languages and cultures. I wish you all a very Happy Holiday season and hope you get time to rest, relax, and spend quality time with friends and family. Please remember how much I appreciate each one of you!! *Our next call*: January 15, 2025 at the following time: UTC NY EST UTC -4 London UTC +1 CEST UTC +2 Jerusalem UTC +3 Delhi / IST UTC +5:30 Tokyo UTC +9 13:00:00 9:00 AM 2:00 PM 3:00 PM 4:00 PM 6:30 PM 11:00 PM *Homework*: - Review existing COGA Personas <https://www.w3.org/TR/coga-usable/#persona> - Bring the following information to the January 15th meeting: - Notes on COGA Persona review.
