## Progress _What has your spec achieved in the last 12 months?_ There has been no progress on this specification in the last year and no implementation changes I am aware of. ## Blockers _Is anything preventing it from moving to Rec?_ The primary blocker is lack of interest from participants in moving past the current Candidate Recommendation Draft. The API itself is implemented in a reasonably interoperable fashion in multiple engines with the exception of: * [deviceorientationabsolute](https://www.w3.org/TR/orientation-event/#deviceorientationabsolute) – Not available in WebKit-based browsers. * [Automation](https://www.w3.org/TR/orientation-event/#automation) – Only available in Chromium-based browsers. ## Testing _Is there a testing plan for this spec?_ The specification includes an [Automation](https://www.w3.org/TR/orientation-event/#automation) section defining Web Driver commands which are used by the [web platform tests](https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/tree/master/orientation-event). ## Next Steps _How will you unblock it? Do you need help?_ The group needs to build consensus on the Automation interface so that the Web Platform Tests can pass across all implementations. -- GitHub Notification of comment by reillyeon Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/deviceorientation/issues/193#issuecomment-3499914760 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
