Hello Games Community Group, TPAC is approaching! Noel and I added a timeslot to the group meetings page for our group to meet. Currently it's scheduled for: October 20 10:00 UTC https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2020/GroupMeetings 👉👉 Be sure to register using this link <https://www.w3.org/2020/10/TPAC/registration.html> and keep reading for more details 👈👈 We also intend to organise a breakout meeting as well (see below). For the Group Meeting: Our thinking is that this meeting should focus on sharing between ourselves (i.e. stakeholders in web games) some technical and/or business updates regarding the web games ecosystem. Presentations could come from anywhere but here are some suggestions: - H5 and embedded game platforms - Individual web game developers - Game engines - Streaming platforms Facebook have offered to give an update on the Facebook Instant Games platform, with a structure such as: - Story of the platform - Technical deep dive - How they see the future of H5 and web games Is anyone interested in giving a presentation? For the Breakout Meeting: We see this as an opportunity for our group to make more connections with the wider TPAC world, i.e. other companies or entities working on the open web who are interested in opportunities with games. We’ll likely schedule this meeting during a similar time to the Group Meeting because I am based in Europe and Noel is based in Japan. However, we could organise 2 breakout calls to better accommodate the Americas (e.g. one AMER/APAC friendly and one AMER/EMEA friendly). Registration: Attendance to both meetings is free for CG participants, but please note that registration is needed: https://www.w3.org/2020/10/TPAC/registration.html Cheers Tom Greenaway | Developer Advocate | Chrome & Web | Google France
