I agree with @mstange - I think the filter should apply to the canvas, but *not* the default backdrop color.

So in the @smfr's first example (`html` element has black text + blue background), it should render as white text on yellow, but in his second example (`html` element has black text and transparent backgrounnd), it should render as white text on transparent, showing the normal backdrop color thru.
