As mentioned already, you would need to redefine the meaning of scale itself, to avoid all problems related to animation, using exp(a) instead of a as factor, if scale(a) is noted. Fortunately most funny things with animateTransform are fixed already in SVG tiny 1.2 with a lot of discussion and work, it would be pretty contrapoductive to ignore all this again just because there is a problem for some people to distinguish between 0 and 1 (what is essential for many things by the way - its worth to learn the difference in general ;o) Olaf
