RE: Can we resolve to go to FPWD before our charter expires on March 30

Nick,

A couple of initial observations regarding:

<https://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/Group/Drafts/WD-xforms-xpath-20120504/>

* I've noticed that 'The boolean-from-string() Function' appears twice in sections 4.1.1 and 4.1.3.

* Section 4.6.1 The element() Function defines content as a sequence. What happens if you call:

xf:element('value', ('John', xf:attribute('id', 'my-value')))

where the intended text content precedes the attribute. That ordering, in XSLT and XQuery would throw an exception. It appears to be doing the same thing but its intention may be slightly different but the difference, if there is any, is not explained.

Regards

Philip

All,

First of all some things that we really need to agree on before I can generate the spec html:
* What is the date that needs to be put on the document
* How many days do we accept comments? Currently I used 42 days

I spent today fixing the import errors in the base document (which we also did in the XForms 2.0 wiki document) to get a better result in the diff version of the spec. If we are doing it for real it has to start from the generated spec html, but for now I'm running it directly from the wiki http://www.w3.org/2007/10/htmldiff?doc1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FMarkUp%2FForms%2Fwiki%2FXForms_2.0_base&doc2=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FMarkUp%2FForms%2Fwiki%2FXForms_2.0#Remove_Nodeset<http://www.w3.org/2007/10/htmldiff?doc1=http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0_base&doc2=http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/wiki/XForms_2.0#Remove_Nodeset>

Could you all review the changes that were made in the XForms 2.0 document? Also having a look at the new text in the XPath Expression module would be really appreciated https://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/Group/Drafts/WD-xforms-xpath-20120504/

I would have been a bit more comfortable that we had a 3 day FtF meeting to go over the changes, and maybe add some small features that are almost ready to port from the wiki to the XForms spec. But as Leigh pointed out our charter is almost expired...

Steven,

What are the next step that I have to do to get the document published?

Our charter nominally expires March 30. While we can get an extension, we should surely go to FPWD before them.

Can we resolve to go to FPWD this week?

If you cannot attend by phone, could you please attend by IRC so we can be sure of having a quorum, so we can meet our charter dates.
