------- Forwarded message ------- From: "Ian B. Jacobs" <ij@w3.org> To: chairs@w3.org Cc: Subject: Pubrules update: XHTML+RDFa permitted as DTD in non-Recs Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2008 16:50:01 +0200 Hello, In order to help test "RDFa in XHTML: Syntax and Processing" [1], which was published as a Candidate Recommendation on 20 June, pubrules is hereby updated to allow technical reports (except for Recommendations) to use the XHTML+RDFa DTD. The validator and the pubrules checker both support this DTD. This change affected two pubrules provisions, which now read: 1. All normative representations MUST either: * validate as either HTML 4.x or as some version of XHTML that is a W3C Recommendation, or * validate as XHTML+RDFa; see RDFa in XHTML: Syntax and Processing (not yet a W3C Recommendation; Team Contacts please see the Communications Team to propose additional exceptions). 2. At least one normative representation MUST identify itself as HTML 4.x, or XHTML 1.0, or XHTML+RDFa (for backwards compatibility). Thank you, _ Ian [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/CR-rdfa-syntax-20080620
