Re: 15 Insert/Delete Examples updated in Editor's draft

Hi Nick,

In the interest of expedience, I addressed this point by simply removing
the alternate versions.

The alternate versions weren't really alternates, as you said, but were
attempts to show why one would *not* want to do these operations without
using the context attribute. In a "Tips, tricks and traps" book, these
would be called "traps". Without the alternate versions, the text still
has an explanatory note stating why context was used, and that does appear
to be sufficient.

John & all,

The examples are really good, but I personally think that the 'Alternate
Version of Operation' is going to confuse people who quickly read through
the spec, if the alternative is not really an 'alternative version' in
some border cases (e.g.: if the parent has no children, when the operation

is executed). I know that this is pointed out in the beginning of every
example, but I think it will be a bit more clear if we move the part 'The
alternate version of the operation ...' of the note to a separate note
after the alternative version.

The XForms 1.1 draft available from our home page now contains 15 example
patterns for insert and delete actions.
