Hi, Yesterday, FT Labs hosted an informal meeting to help identify shortcomings in AppCache and help improve the sate of building offline apps. The following people were present: Alex Russell -- Google Andrew Betts -- FT Labs Jackson Gabbard -- Facebook Jake Archibald -- Lanyrd Patrick H Lauke -- Opera Robin Berjon -- Independent standards consultant Tobie Langel -- Facebook Christian Heilmann -- Mozilla Rowan Beentje - FT Labs (from 12pm) Notes were taken on a public etherpad[1] and Andrew and I will be cleaning them up shortly to produce something more palatable. As participants of this meeting are representing similar companies as those present in this CG, and as the focus is identical, I suggest we continue this conversation here and treat the output of this meeting as a production of this CG. In order to better scope our work here I suggest adding a charter to this group. I have drafted one[2]. Comments are welcomed. Furthermore, Robin mentioned we'll need chair(s) and suggested I should volunteer. Andrew effectively chaired yesterday's meeting so I suggest he should co-chair. I'm happy to have someone from Mozilla co-chair this too, as Mozilla's hosting a similar event in Mountain View next week. Please object asap to any of the above if you disagree. In the spirit of moving things forward quickly, and given that we have but little time until next week's follow up meeting in Mountain View, I'll move along with this and will backtrack should an objection arise.
