I am helping to put together the second ever OuiShare Labs Camp in Paris, May 1st to 4th, 2014. I'd like to invite the Federated Social Web (or Social Web as it may be called by then) group to this Camp. It will be an environment where visionaries and developers will work collaboratively for a few days. It's an opportunity to get together and work on low level architecture but also high level business models. I've spoken to Harry Hamplin and he is keen to get the W3C involved. We will be having a keynote on each of the 4 mornings. If you can't make all the days then we are suggesting attending May 2nd to 4th. The OuiShare Fest runs from May 5th to 7th (directly after the Camp). We expect teams to work on their own projects whilst also interacting with other teams/projects as the days progress. This seemed to work well for Henry Story and his Stample team last year. So, as well as inviting the FSW group we'll also be going out to other groups/projects working on interoperability, social and collaborative/sharing themes. OuiShare is a hub for all those interested in the collaborative/sharing economy. The first Fest and Camp took place last year and were a huge success in bringing together communities. OuiShare is running a Fest directly after the Camp so output from the Camp will be showcased in the Fest. We have still to confirm the venue for the Camp but we hope to get access to Mozilla's space in Paris – looking for good contacts there. If you are interested then do get in touch and let's make this rock. This is very advance notice. I'm putting this out to get feedback. We are still putting together materials. Access to the Camp will be at no cost.
