TPAC progress on DC API: Decision not to use a registry

Hi FedID WG, 

Thanks to all who participated in our hybrid TPAC meetings. Minutes from both DC API and FedCM discussions are online.

As promised in the DC API meeting, I call your attention to a group decision not to develop a protocol registry. Option 7 in github issue 396: https://github.com/w3c-fedid/digital-credentials/issues/396

Option 7
    • Drop registry from the spec
    • Normatively reference OpenID4VP 1.0 (signed, unsigned, multisigned), OpenID4VCI, and ISO 18013-7 Annex C in the spec
    • Requests with unsupported protocols are ignored
