Ramping up the FedID WG

Hello FedID WG members!

Thank you for signing up for the Federated Identity Working Group! Wendy Seltzer and I are waiting for more organizations to join (which means giving them time to get through their internal legal processes) before we schedule our first meeting. As per the WG announcement, we expect to hold a virtual meeting in June. If we have sufficient membership, we may begin with a session or two in May. There will likely be relevant informal discussions at the upcoming Internet Identity Workshop in Mountain View, CA.

You will see an email coming out soon from the W3C staff about the intent to discuss if and how our charter might change to allow for the WICG - Digital Identities work to be brought into our working group in the future. If you have thoughts on that, please consider adding them to this GitHub thread: https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/450
