Difficult using http-client with Oxygen v16

I've been busting my brain for several days attempting to get 
http-client to work with oXygen XML Editor 16.0, build 2014052022.  
Everything from unzipping the January release and creating a 
transformation scenario; to building from source.  From using the java: 
namespace to using a config file. Just. Can't. Solve.

Could someone spell it out for me in very short words?
