Efficient Extensible Interchange Working Group now closed

Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,
Efficient Extensible Interchange Working Group members,

The Efficient Extensible Interchange Working Group [1] is now closed.

The mission of the Efficient Extensible Interchange Working Group was to
develop a format that allows efficient interchange of the XML
Information Set.

Over its recent charter period, the Group published a Recommendation for
Canonical EXI [2]. In its latest charter, the group also worked on
applying the same technology on JSON documents and published it as a
Working Group Note [3].

Maintenance and future proposals for these specifications happen in the
Efficient Extensible Interchange Community Group [4].

W3C thanks the group chair, Takuki Kamiya (Fujitsu), and all the
participants in the group for their efforts.

If you have any further questions, please contact Carine Bournez
<carine@w3.org>.

This announcement follows section 5.2.7 of the W3C Process Document [5].
