RE: [EXI] What are Sub Types ?

Hi Santhanakrishnan,

A sub-type is a type that is derived from another type (called its base
type). In the context of XML Schema, a sub-type S of a base type B would
specify B as its {base type definition}. A named sub-type is a sub-type that
specifies a {name}. See [1] for more information about {base type
definition}s.

    I hope this helps!,

Subject: [EXI] What are Sub Types ?

Hi EXI WG

What are names subtypes of a Type definition T.

When strict options is true and if a element Ei type definition has named
sub types then the following production is added to Element i

Element i , 0:

       AT(xsi:type) Element i, 0 n.m

Please clarify the above.

Regards

Santhanakrishnan
