Re: SKOS Validator and Zthes Converter

Dear Andreas,

Sorry for reacting such a long time after your announcement. Yet, this is truly excellent work! It's really important for the community to have that kind of service publicly available.

I'd have three questions:

1. How much beta is your tool? I think it deservez more advertisement,. I'd be tempted to have your validator put in front at [1] instead of the current one, which is still alpha AND devoted to SKOS 2005. Anyone on the list would have an objection? Would you disagree with that, at Poolparty?

2. Is the validation really complete with respect to all the semantic constraints in the SKOS Reference, or is it based on the OWL specification [3] only? We know that implementing a check based on all the constraints is more difficult...

3. Your validator does not display where the errors lie, while the one currently at [1] does it. Do you think there is a way for you to include that kind of functionality, or is it just impossible due to the infrastructure you're using? I know that Alistair used a verification tool based on rules. If you're using an RDF reasoner you might not get the same flexibility. On the other hand, you do seem to be able to give feedback per category of constraints, which is a good sign :-)

Cheers,

Antoine
