***Appologies for cross-posting *** The British Chapter of The International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO UK) would like to invite you to a half-day seminar entitled "Tools for Knowledge Organization Today". The event focuses on current developments in knowledge organization systems and the work of groups in the knowledge organization field. The programme will include presentations on the new standard for structured vocabularies (BS 8723) and a metadata generation project. Speakers include: Stella Dextre Clarke, Douglas Tudhope, Conrad Taylor, Vanda Broughton. The seminar will be held on 4th September at University College London, Cruciform Lecture Theatre 1, from 14:30 until 17:30. The seminar will be preceded by a brief ISKO business meeting to which all interested are invited. More information is available at http://www.iskouk.org/seminar1.htm.
