Quick Guide to Publishing a Classification Scheme on the Semantic Web

Hi!

I finished the first tentative draft of a "Quick Guide to Publishing a
Classification Scheme on the Semantic Web":

http://esw.w3.org/topic/SkosDev/ClassificationPubGuide

There is also a PDF for printing:

http://esw.w3.org/topic/SkosDev/ClassificationPubGuide?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=swbp-classification-pubguide.pdf

The guide contains no fundamental change in SKOS Core. The follwing
features can be expressed without modification or extension in SKOS:

* Classes
* Captions
* Notations
* Notes
* Hierarchical Relations
* Symmetric Associative Relations
* Unidirectional Associative Relations
* Arrays
* Sections

I also listed open Issues and limitations with some proposals how to
solve them:

* Symbolic hierarchical relationship
* Faceted Classification
* Coordination
* Markup in notes

I included many example from existing classifications (no artifical
examples). Comments are very welcome. Please feel free to edit the draft
- it's a wiki! Please notify especially if you find any weird
classification schemes with features that are not mentioned in the guide.

Have a nice weekend!
Jakob
