Not sure if there is anyone in the group that reps for Amazon but I sure would like an explanation

We are working on a series of 5 YA BIPOC books. 3 of the books have videos embedded in them (passing epubcheck) and complying with epub3 specs.

However, Amazon is rejecting the most recent publication with this response:

"Amazon has rejected Unapologetically Jackie: The Life and Times of Jackie Shane
The provided file has failed validation at Amazon. As a result, Amazon cannot process any metadata/content updates or activate this content for sale without action on your part.

The following files are incompatible with Amazon content guidelines:
Unapologetically-Jackie.vtt
Unapologetically-Jackie_H264_360p_2398_Stereo_121222.m4v

Please validate the ePub file and correct any errors or issues detailed above.

The edition is accepted by Apple, Kobo and other purveyors. Having reviewed the Amazon guidelines, it would appear that the video file is compliant. There is no mention of close captions for video on Amazon guidelines.

Has anyone in the group come across this situation? I’m curious to know more about what might be the stumbling block here.

Thanks in advance.
