Re: Let's introduce ourselves

Hi all,

Late to the show here!

My name is Greg Davis with Pearson education. Been doing epubs and publishing related stuff for about 7-8 years, used to be more involved in the IDPF days. Would love to spend more time on it the more than I do.

Nice to meet all of you!

-Greg

Hey everyone 👋

I'm Lars Wallin, founder and product owner etc at Colibrio Software in Gothenburg.

I spend my days (an evenings) working to make the digital reading experience more exciting and inclusive for all.

I have been working with digital information systems, e-learning etc since 1995:ish.

I believe standards and interoperability is key to a thriving digital publishing ecosystem.

Always ready to discuss ideas to do with reading UX and accessibility.

very much wish there was
more time in a day so that I could be more
active in this group 😉

Hope to see all of you some day IRL!

/Lars

I personally prefer epubs to pdf books so I joined the community group to learn more about the latest developments in hopes that I can be an agent of change at my company.

I am the author of EPUBs for Wiley that feature interactive exercises for introductory programming: code and algorithm tracing, memory diagrams, auto-graded programming exercises, and so on. Currently, the books use VitalSource's precursor to the "EPUB for Education" API ( https://w3c.github.io/publ-cg/education/epub-education.html#javascript-apis).
I believe such interactive elements are a very powerful tool in the education market and am keenly interested in seeing them standardized.

Cheers,

Cay
