Hi Lora, There's nothing in the standard that prevents you from using transparent images but support for transparency will vary from one reading system to the next. If Scribd has built it's own epub reading system, then it's likely this is a quirk in the reader and your engineering team will need to take a look if you want to support transparent images. If you are using someone else's RS - I would reach out to them and find out what they support.
