Hi Everyone,

I'm glad to see so many people have signed up for the community group!
Not much has happened yet, as we are getting things started, and
figuring out how this group will operate within the W3C. Next Monday,
March 13, the W3C Publishing Business Group will be meeting in London
[1]. That group will help determine the goals and focus of the
community group, and help define the relationships between the
business group, this community group, and the upcoming digital
publishing working group. We'll know much more by next week, and we'll
report back.

We're also working on migrating the IDPF GitHub repository to W3C, and
we already have some spec errata to work on.

We've also figured out, I hope, who will be the chairs of this group.
I'm very happy to announce that Rachel Comerford (Macmillan) has
agreed to serve as a co-chair along with myself. And the indispensable
Matt Garrish will continue to help edit EPUB 3, which is the best news
at all.

Sincerely,

Dave Cramer
