So there is one thing I would like to understand... Most of the important decisions about the CG's activity - including selection of Chairs - have to be approved by the W3C Publishing BG. But the W3C Publishing BG just does not exist at this time; there are, AFAICT, only 3 BGs at W3C: Automotive and Web Platform, Web and Broadcasting, and Web-based Signage. Without the creation and launch of that BG immediately, the EPUB3 CG cannot start work at all and all decisions will be void, per Charter. Furthermore, an item in the Charter reads « Coordination with the publishing industry regarding requirements and priorities for ongoing EPUB 3 development will be delegated to the W3C Publishing Business Group (BG). ». That means we can't even do technical work w/o pre-approval from the BG, and I clearly find this *very* suboptimal. Could we please have the BG launched immediately to let us start discussing with it, *or* amend the Charter to make the CG more independent (I have a strong preference for the latter)? </Daniel>
