Hi everyone! The past few revisions of the CSS Inline Layout Level 3 spec include a set of proposals to better control vertical text spacing and rhythm in CSS: https://www.w3.org/TR/css-inline-3/#line-height We wanted to get more design feedback to make sure that they * Solve the relevant problems properly * Do so in a way that’s ergonomic to use in CSS So Jen Simmons and I are organizing an informal workshop next week to review and discuss this part of the spec, particularly the `leading-trim` / `text-edge` / `line-height` properties and their modifications to the line height calculation rules. (Implementers are welcome to attend, but our focus here is really on getting feedback from people who want to *use* these features.) The date of the workshop is Monday 14 November 2022, and additional details (timing, background materials, agenda, etc.) are available here: https://fantasai.inkedblade.net/style/events/inline-workshop We're not sure how this is going to go, but we hope that attendees will leave with a good sense of how this is all going to work in the future, and spec editors will leave with a good sense of what's making sense or not making sense in the spec. :) Hopefully see some of you next Monday~ ~fantasai
