Hi everyone,
Every year up here in Canada we run an event called the Accessible Publishing Summit, which is a wonderful event bringing together a number of people from across the industry. As we’re heading into our second year of virtual programming, they’ve put together some sessions that will be livestreamed from the summit. All of the sessions are excellent, but I particularly recommend the session with the accessibility testers, as they are always fantastic.
See details below:
The National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) is pleased to announce that there will be public sessions at the 2022 Accessible Publishing Summit. These sessions will feature EPUB usability demonstrations from the NNELS team of accessibility testers and consultants; industry updates and expert perspectives from key stakeholders; and a panel of international speakers. See the agenda<https://www.accessiblepublishing.ca/2022-agenda/> for more details!
The public sessions will be on Wednesday, February 16th, from 9:30 AM to 1 PM Pacific, and on Thursday, February 17th, from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM, Pacific. (The remaining panel sessions on February will not be live-streamed, but will be available following the summit.)
Anyone is welcome to register for these sessions! Register here<https://nnels.ca/2022-accessible-publishing-summit-public-sessions>. Please email the Accessible Publishing Summit organizers at apsummit@accessiblepublishing.ca<mailto:apsummit@accessiblepublishing.ca> if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Wendy
