This is the mess that is coming upon us twice a year :-) In our case the situation is made even more complicated by the fact that the two meetings we have are "fixed" to different time zones… The effect, and I hope I do not get it wrong: On the week of the 1st of November our regular call, originally scheduled for the 5th of November, is (probably) cancelled, because that is the meeting right after our F2F. The only other meeting scheduled is the Testing TF meeting for that week, which should be 9am/noon/5pm/9:30/1am for San Francisco/Toronto/Paris/Delhi/Tokyo order (see [1]) Starting the 8th of November (all the times are in a San Francisco/Toronto/Paris/Delhi/Tokyo order): - Our "Japan Centric" regular meetings: 4pm/7pm/1am/5:30am/9am [2] - Our "Europe Centric" regular meetings: 7am/10am/4pm/8:30pm/midnight [3] - Testing TF meetings: 9am/noon/6pm/10:30pm/2am[4] - A11y TF meetings: 7am/10am/4pm/8:30pm/midnight[5] - Fixed layout A11y TF: 6am/9am/3pm/7:30pm/11pm[6] - Virtual locators Japan Centric: 5pm/8pm/2am/6:30am/10am[7] - Virtual locators Europe Centric: 7am/10am/4pm/8:30pm/midnight [3] (I hope I got everything all right!) Cheers Ivan PS: Tip: we have all these entries in our W3C calendar now and they should be o.k. automatically. You can subscribe to your calendar from your own calendaring system (Google, Apple, etc) which sets all these times for you! Most of the US/Canada clocks shift back 1 hr a week later, Sunday 7 November 2021. > > Between October 31 and November 7, the time difference between Canada/US and Europe will be 1 hour less than it currently is. This means that for that week the teleconferences that are scheduled according to the US/Canada clock will start *one hour earlier* in local time for most Europeans. > > China, Japan and Russia do not observe DST, which means the time difference between these areas and Europe/Canada/US will be one hour more than it currently is. > > Please share this information with your groups, as it will have an impact on teleconferences. If you are unsure about the scheduled time of any teleconference, please confirm the time arrangements with your meeting host. > > The meeting planner tool below may be helpful to find the time for your web meeting across time zones: > https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html > > Best Regards, > Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications > > > ---- Ivan Herman, W3C Home: http://www.w3.org/People/Ivan/ mobile: +33 6 52 46 00 43 ORCID ID: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0782-2704
