Unfortunately I was away last week and couldn't get online for the meeting from the beach I was on… Just my bad luck, I suppose! :)

If I were present in the meeting, I would have tried make a stronger case for the single source approach in regards to FXL Accessibility. As I point out in my Visual to Textual Explainer <https://paper.dropbox.com/doc/Visual-to-Textual-Explainer--BVYxc4sYA6QqjhRE6TOfXOsaAg-K3nAwKn2vlVqRpFyZ9KHN> the idea here is NOT to create separate files, pages or renditions, but instead it is to use a single source of content and to display that content in a more suitable way for some readers and reading situations.

And actually I don't think there is a great need for publishers to spend great effort on the CSS styling for the reflowable presentation either, as I mention under the Disregarding of Text Styling <https://paper.dropbox.com/doc/Visual-to-Textual-Explainer--BVYxc4sYA6QqjhRE6TOfXOsaAg-K3nAwKn2vlVqRpFyZ9KHN#:uid=474075419622091861438612&h2=Disregarding-of-Text-Styling> heading It is recommended that all text styling Visual-To-Textual publications will be generic and applied based on the semantic hierarchy.

I would expect the textual presentation to be complimentary but secondary to the visual presentation, and one that is only intended for those who want or need it due their small screen size, device or reading system limitations or accessibility requirements.

As long as the content is being presented in the reading correct order with heading levels etc. intact then I would expect the reader to then be able to choose and alter the styling applied.
