Patent Policy 2020

Hi all,

In today’s meeting we discussed the new W3C Patent Policy<https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20200915/> for 2020. The working group was formed under the previous patent policy of 2017, and we have to agree as a group if we want to “upgrade” to the new one. I’m sending this email out today to allow everyone time to review the policy and speak to your respective legal departments if needed.
