Re: repository or emergency open data

 thanks Joseph

I actually had seen this before, just had become lost in the fog of
information overload

this looks like a nice project to start with but a quick glance of

http://www.opencrisis.com/datastores

very useful general links but
doesn't bring up much data that I can use meaningfully to alleviate
suffering >-)

i d have to do an awful lot of data mining to get anywhere,

assuming I had a cargo with aid ready to ship , the page doesn't point me
anywhere useful as to where it's most needed for example, or who do I
contact to deliver etc

(presuming the effort may have not been updated lately)

where I come from (don't ask), datastores benefit from some well thought
out data structure
even just metadata structure would be helpful -)

so, first we can start reviewing efforts already in place, such as this one
then identify what needs doing from there?

any other projects going in that direction?

regarding the 'marketplace', Joseph, depending how you use the term
to me that sounds as if it may have bit of a commercial slant something
that some think ought to be avoided, not to fall into commercial traps,

//one of these commercial traps, is to create poor service and data
scarcity and thus create the need for more software/apis etc, for profit//

I think given the abundance of data, people and good will, we should be
able to create common good value

something else to discuss at the next opportunity

thank you!
