Dear all, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Carsten Keßler, I have a background in geoinformatics as well as semantic web technologies and I have been working for UN OCHA on the Humanitarian eXchange Language (HXL; see [1]) for more than a year now. This fall, I will be joining CUNY's Hunter College in NYC as assistant professor for geographic information science. One of my research areas will be the use of semantic web technology for disaster response, and I hope to be able to continue the work with OCHA on HXL. Cheers, Carsten [1] http://hxl.humanitarianresponse.info/ On Sun, Apr 14, 2013 at 10:20 AM, Paola Di Maio <paola.dimaio@gmail.com> wrote: > If you get a decent connection, please start a hangout while you are at it - > I am not sure if my timezone is compatible, but will def consider dropping > in if I am online > > PDM > > > On Sat, Apr 13, 2013 at 10:34 PM, Bart van Leeuwen > <Bart_van_Leeuwen@netage.nl> wrote: >> >> Hi Christopher, >> >> I sent the email to the list as well now. >> >> Sure I won't mind to do a BOF session I land at BHX at 8:40 so I guess I >> would be able to do it at 10:00 or so. >> But there needs to be substantial interest, if it is just the two of us we >> might just as well drink a coffee. >> >> Another important aspect is that the rest of the group should not feel >> surpassed by this initiative. >> >> Met Vriendelijke Groet / With Kind Regards >> Bart van Leeuwen >> @semanticfire >> >> ############################################################## >> # netage.nl >> # http://netage.nl >> # Enschedepad 76 >> # 1324 GJ Almere >> # The Netherlands >> # tel. +31(0)36-5347479 >> ############################################################## >> >> >> >> From: "Brewster, Christopher" <C.A.BREWSTER@aston.ac.uk> >> To: Bart van Leeuwen <Bart_van_Leeuwen@netage.nl> >> Cc: "Brewster, Christopher" <C.A.BREWSTER@aston.ac.uk> >> Date: 13-04-2013 18:52 >> Subject: Re: Chairs >> ________________________________ >> >> >> >> Yes of course. >> >> Would you like to organise it?
