I had a very frustrating morning with a sick laptop and a slow connection.  In an attempt to speed things along, I cleaned out my browser cache, cookies, passwords, etc..  At which point I discovered an extra, under-appreciated problem:  when you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear, it is said, but the shear number of people who want to verify for themselves that you have nothing to hide is a very long line.  No one, it seems, takes you at your word.

In the movies, Aliens land and say "Take Me To Your Leader ...".  Trust me, that's pure Hollywood.  What really happens is the Web Earthlings need you to fill out a profile.  Aliens get 70 Factor Authentication.
