Hi Michael, Ed and others We haven't yet settled on the mediated schema, but I can safely say that dcat looks very promising :) Just have a few minor comments. I guess the "category" concepts that are available in both data.gov & data.gov.uk are meant to be covered by the skos:Concept class. There is also an ID element in the 4 catalogues I have been looking at, which could simply be mapped to a dc:identifier property for datasets. One last thing... why not use a separate schema for modeling tags/keywords? I have noticed that in the example here (http://vocab.deri.ie/dcat-overview) you have a list of comma separated terms for dcat:keyword. Would be nice to have each term as a first class object. I have used the Tag Ontology (http://www.holygoat.co.uk/projects/tags/) to get my initial translation of the catalogues, but you can add your own schema for keywords in dcat. or maybe look into other folksonomy works to agree on an external ontology.
