Hi all The Australian Gov 2.0 Taskforce today released the "/Engage: Getting on with Government 2.0/." <http://gov2.net.au/blog/2009/12/07/draftreport/> report and has asked for comments. I urge all IG members to read it and post your thoughts to the list - I'd like to get a submission from the IG together if the chairs/others feel it's a good idea with comments and above all, stressing the support of the IG for an initiative/recommendation like this. If I'm out of scope with this suggestion, let me know. (Quick point - W3C gets mentioned only twice - once with Accessibility, once with the RDF spec. Good chance for Outreach given we haven't really had a look in with this one as of yet. I also think there are some really good ideas and points that we can use in this document (such as a nice definition of open data that is succinct and concise, and a better term for LGD - Public Sector Information), if not making it a case study. Combined with some other the other things coming out atm such as the UK Archive policy, we are getting some great e-gov stuff happening. There is a LOT of excitment here in the e-gov/gov20 community with this report - if the recommendations were implemented fully, it will change the face of the Australian Public Sector for ever.) Cheers Chris
