This announce concerns those who use W3C's public irc web client.

As previously announced on April 14, the switch from
http://irc.w3.org/ to https://irc.w3.org/ is now permament.

All access to the irc web client on port 80 will now be permanently
redirected to its 443 counterpart.

Please make sure you update any clients or code (bots, scrappers, or other)
so that they directly uses the https://irc.w3.org/ from now on.
