@dr-shorthair I understand your point. But I am just wondering if this is worth the time and effort in this group to try and analyse the requirements of various types of _collections of data_. Your list of criteria is interesting but I am not quite sure I agree that these are general rules to apply For example, I don't see the need to create a sibling class if you don't need all the properties of a class. You are allowed to use only the things you need; there is no requirement to use all. I think that's the approach at schema.org. What I am worried about is that we start to take on Dataset policing activities and every time someone comes with a catalogue with '_collections of data_', we will go into a discussion to determine if we're OK to let that into the definition of Dataset or not.
