Hello Simon,
could you please circulate some references on the various time models you've mentioned in today's telcon?
On behalf of the UC organization we may introduce a meta UC like: "Temporal aspects of DCAT" and relate to it
the individual use cases, each one looking at particular aspect:
- Temporal context of Dataset's data, interval (start - end) of:
- Phenomenon time of data (already present in ID27) - what time the data refers to?
- Obersevation time - when where these values captured/monitored/computed?
...?
- Temporal dimensions of the Dataset resource/CatalogRecord, instant:
- Creation, modification time already covered by dct:issued, dct:modified
- Expiry of data: The data is considered outdated after this date
- Data Retention (directly related to usage control): The copy of Dataset should be removed after this date
- Expiry of record: The record will become obsolete after this point (and e.g. should be removed from catalog)
...?
Best regards
Jaroslav
