As indicated in previous working group meetings a key deliverable on the Resource Discovery for Extreme Scale Collaboration (RDESC rdesc.org) ) use case is tied to the Dataset Usage vocabulary. Coupled with that is the need to get feedback from physical and climate scientists. I am very happy to report that earlier this week we were invited to a meeting where Sumit and I were able to present to 16 scientists RDESC and some of the goals of the DWBP Dataset Usage Vocabulary. Scientists participating represented climate, atmosphere, and hydrology backgrounds. Most scientists participating were also multilingual as well. We are planning a follow up survey with 14 of the participating scientists who agreed to participate. If we can hold there interest, I'm really hoping we can rely on members of this group to provide feedback as we advance the DWBP vocabularies and best practices. Cheers, Eric S.
