RE: [dpub-aria] 20161027 agenda

Yes, thank you Matt.

To remind the API folks on this list what the issue is:

Matt pointed out that there was a minor error in DPUB-ARIA. He has fixed it, but it implies slight changes to DPUB-AAM:
Please see the definition for doc-pullquote in http://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/aria/dpub.html. You'll notice that there is now an implicit value for role: "Default for aria-hidden is true."

This affects DPUB-AAM.

Alexandar commented:

I would argue that nothing should be defined with implied aria-hidden='true', because aria-hidden='true' is used to make inaccessible things that have/had semantics. Also aria-hidden is a complicated thing, especially aria-hidden='false', and its implementation varies between browsers. If you meant to say that something is not accessible, then I would rather say this explicitly, for example, 'no semantics, not exposed'.
We would really appreciate comments about your preferences for the implicit value and mappings for doc-pullquote.

Thanks,
Tzviya

Probably also need to discuss the comment raised about our addition of a default aria-hidden=true for pullquote. There was a suggestion to change to "no semantics, not exposed."
