Hi, Rich, Ivan, All: Also, I plan to raise this question with the HTML-A11Y Task Force coordination call today, and possible in the TF's telecon. Both are scheduled, back to back, in the next few hours. The reason to bring this up in the TF is that the TF exists to resolve issues between HTML and PF. So, I will be asking what leadership needs to do to help move us toward a resolution that can have HTML support, that would also work for PF and D-Pub. I do think the conversation on list in HTML-WG have been moving forward reasonably well. No one has stepped up to answer Steve Faulkner's recent post on thread there asking what's wrong with a prefix. I think we need to answer, and I suspect the answer will be that prefixing is unavoidable, but we want to explore which terms might be adopted for general use without prefix, as well. An FPWD exists, in part, to move that exploration forward. e.g. It's clear that "part" will be prefixed. It's our poster child example for term clash among knowledge domains. Michael Cooper has separately pointed out that the term ARIA would require prefixing were someone to step up to do a set of music roles. So, there may be developments on several fronts today that we can report on later today and tomorrow. Let's keep talking.
