Hello DPUB Folks,

Below is the draft agenda for next week's IG conference call, to be held at the usual time and day [0].

Please let us know if you are able to scribe. Please join the call via WebEx [1] and join IRC [13] for live chat & minutes (IRC channel #dpub).

Webex: https://www.w3.org/dpub/IG/wiki/WebEx

Agenda:

  *   Approve minutes [2]
  *   IDPF merging into W3C update [5]
  * Issues with Web Publications [PWP] draft [3]

     * Last week's tunes to "What is a Web Publication" [4]; committed changes:

        * "A Web Publication (WP) is a collection of one or more constituent resources, organized together in a uniquely identifiable grouping that may be presented using standard Open Web Platform technologies."
        * "It must be possible to make Web Publications accessible to a broad range of readers with different needs and capabilities. This includes general WCAG and WAI requirements of the W3C, but may also include additional accessibility requirements specific to Web Publications. Profiles of Web Publications may also be defined with more stringent accessibility requirements on the publications themselves."

     *   Online/Offline

        * "A Web Publication must be available and functional while the user is offline. A user should, as much as possible, have a seamless experience of interacting with a Web Publication regardless of their network connection. We make no distinction between online and offline when defining web publications."
        *   "must" or "should"?
        *   "must" only when packaged?

     * Origin/trust; seems to be resolved in most recent draft

        * “The package must include the unique identifier of the manifestation—a Web Publication’s origin is essential information if a PWP becomes portable”.
        * Two paragraphs later it goes into further detail about the origin inclusion and even mentions trust. I would like to remove the second half of that sentence (about the origin) and also remove the bit about trust from the latest paragraph. Let’s just leave it open that we want a unique identifier, but that’s it, and that the origin is not necessarily related to the identifier."

     *   Manifest details

        * “We also introduce the abstract concept of a manifest, which serves to carry information about the constituent resources of the publication, their sequence, and presentation”.
        * Should only say that it carries the resources and not mention sequence and presentation?

  * Who is responsible for the WCAG related work per charter? [Ivan]
  * Do we have content for next Monday, or await DPUB BG input/formation?
  *   Any Other Business

** Note that DPUB Business Group and EPUB 3 Community Group Charter work is ongoing simultaneously
