Dear members of the Decentralized Identifier Working Group, I'm relaying the announcement to the group's primary public mailing list to notify the group of its charter extension. Best regards, Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Decentralized Identifier Working Group Charter extended until 2023-05-31; New Charter Proposal Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2023 15:05:41 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, [This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs] The Decentralized Identifier Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until 2023-05-31. The goal of this extension is to allow the group to propose its new charter [2], which the chairs consider reasonably stable now. Refer to the August 2021 advance notice [3] for more information. The mission of the Decentralized Identifier Working Group is to standardize the DID URI scheme, the data model and syntax of DID Documents, which contain information related to DIDs that enable the aforementioned initial use cases, and the requirements for DID Method specifications. More information about the Decentralized Identifier Working Group can be found on its home page [4], including information about group Chairs, Team Contact and instructions for joining the group. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Pierre-Antoine Champin, Decentralized Identifier WG Team Contact, at pierre-antoine@w3.org. This extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#charter-extension Thank you, For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director, Pierre-Antoine Champin, Decentralized Identifier WG Team Contact; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [1] https://www.w3.org/2020/12/did-wg-charter.html [2] https://github.com/w3c/did-wg-charter [3] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-new-work/2021Aug/0010.html [4] https://www.w3.org/2019/did-wg/
