Folks, A few updates on the future charter of the WG charter (*). The Team started the AC review of a proposed charter [1]. It is understood that what the Team is proposing does not have the consensus of this Working Group: [[ There is not consensus among the current working group participants as to whether the charter should permit work on the specification of DID methods. This charter proposal includes the option for the group to do that work if there is sufficient interest. ]] (extract from the message sent to the AC) If an Advisory Committee representative chooses to make their comment public, you'll see them appear in https://www.w3.org/Search/Mail/Public/search?keywords=&hdr-1-name=subject&hdr-1-query=+Decentralized+Identifier+%28DID%29+Working+Group+Charter&index-grp=Public_FULL&index-type=t&type-index=public-new-work In any case, I'm populating all issues received from the AC at https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues?q=is%3Aissue+did%2Fwg+label%3AAC-review Comments in those issues are welcome of course. Changes to the charter will be managed following our current practice documented at https://www.w3.org/Guide/process/charter.html#managing-changes . Since the end of the review is on September 8, I don't expect the Team to resolve all of the issues before TPAC so it's likely we'll have more conversation then. Thank you, Philippe (*) Pierre-Antoine is currently on vacation so I'm moving things along in the meantime.
