The Director is pleased to announce the approval of the Decentralized 
Identifier Working Group charter:
   https://www.w3.org/2019/09/did-wg-charter.html

This group is chartered until 30 September 2021.

The mission of the Decentralized Identifier Working Group is to 
standardize the DID URI scheme, the data model and syntax of DID 
Documents, which contain information related to DIDs that enable the 
aforementioned initial use cases, and the requirements for DID Method 
specifications.

Use the following form to join the group. The form will also instruct 
you how to nominate participants:

The Working Group chairs are Daniel Burnett (Consensys) and Brent Zundel 
(Evernym). The initial Team Contact is Ivan Herman with 0.2 FTE.
