Hi Devices and Sensors WG participants, Vibration API was published as a W3C Candidate Recommendation Snapshot (CRS) today: https://www.w3.org/TR/2024/CR-vibration-20241128/ Since the earlier W3C Recommendation Track publication, the Working Group has gathered further implementation experience, added new privacy protections, tightened normative requirements, and enabled reuse of this specification across other specifications. For more details, see: https://www.w3.org/TR/2024/CR-vibration-20241128/#changes The API received a thorough wide review this year that resulted in improvements in privacy, security, and other considerations. Work continues on further improvements as suggested in wide review, informed by implementation experience. The group is grateful for web developer community for support that demonstrated this capability is important and an integral part of the web platform. With this publication, the group formally signals it continues to evolve this API together with the community, implementers and other interested stakeholders. Congratulations to the group for this major milestone! Thanks, -Anssi (DAS WG co-chair)
