A First Public Working Draft is the first major step on the journey along the W3C Rec Track. Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to these efforts through specs, implementations, and other means. Your sustained, diligent efforts reassured the broader web community that these specifications are ready to be graduated from incubation and elevated to the W3C Rec Track.

As communicated earlier [1], these specifications were added to the DAS WG in the recent re-charter and are now published as FPWDs having made both substantial progress and received adequate implementation experience. The Contact Picker API is our first joint deliverable with the WebApps WG. The proposal for deeper collaboration with the WebApps WG is welcoming your feedback at [2].

With the year coming to an end soon, I want to thank you all for your strong support and impactful contributions in this evolving and exciting area of device-centric web capabilities. Happy Holidays and see you in 2023!
