CfC: Publish FPWD of Contact Picker API; respond by 9 Dec 2022

Hi All,

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish a First Public Working Draft (FPWD) of the Contact Picker API specification.

The latest draft is at:

This spec has received implementation experience and has been incubated in the WICG since Nov 2018.

This specification is expected to become a joint deliverable between the DAS WG and WebApps WG. The precursor for this work, Contacts API, was developed in the DAS WG during its earlier days 2009-2016.

As the name suggests, a First Public Working Draft is just a first draft. Changes are expected as the work progresses and the group receives further feedback from implementers, web developers, end users, horizontal reviews, and other important stakeholders.

Please indicate any objections or concerns on this list before EOB 9 Dec 2022. Silence is considered consent.
