Dear members of the Devices and Sensors Working Group, The Devices and Sensors Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until 30 November 2020. The mission of the Devices and Sensors Working Group is to create client-side APIs that enable the development of Web Applications that interact with device hardware and sensors. Discussions around the comments raised on the proposed charter [2] during the AC review are still ongoing. The Group will try to find community consensus on the comments raised and the Director expects to issue a decision on November 20. The Advisory Board and the TAG are conducting in parallel an experiment on the formal objection [3]. More information about this group and information about participation can be found on its home page [4]. The group is chaired by Anssi Kostiainen (Intel) and Reilly Grant (Google).
