Re: Wake Lock API - call for editors

Hi All,

Kenneth is now the editor of the Wake Lock API. Kenneth - thank you for carrying the torch.

Btw. it did not took long for Kenneth to get his hands dirty with this spec -- I just observed a new PR from him.

Thanks,

-Anssi (DAS WG co-chair)

Hi there,

After some discussion with Anssi, I have decided to volunteer as editor and help bring this feature to the web platform.

Cheers
Kenneth

Hi All,

Wake Lock API [1] spec is feature complete and has an implementation. In other words, it's quite far on the so-called W3C standards track.

The current editors have indicated they're ready to pass the baton to new editor(s) who can help resolve the remaining open issues [2].

Please get in touch with the chairs if you're interested in becoming an editor of this spec.

The chairs would like to thank the past editors Ilya, Andrey and Marcos for their significant contributions that helped advance this spec up to this point.

Thanks,

-Anssi (DAS WG co-chair)

Btw. For inspiration, please check Tom's recent article [3] that demonstrates some creative uses of this API.
