Hi All,

This is a Call for Consensus to publish a new Working Draft of the Device Orientation Event specification [1].

This spec will return to a Working Draft from Candidate Recommendation due to substantial changes. Since previous publication, the spec has added a permission request API [2] and has been updated to align with existing implementations (see commit log at [3]). The group is aware of limited implementation experience around deviceorientationabsolute and compassneedscalibration events, and as such, these two issues are highlighted in the spec.

If you have any concerns or comments please respond to this mail by 8 April.
