This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to transition “HTML Media Capture” to Candidate Recommendation (again) and publish on Thursday 24 August. The CR period will be 1 month, so earliest for PR is Sept 21. The snapshot is here: https://w3c.github.io/html-media-capture/?specStatus=CR;previousMaturity=CR;previousPublishDate=2017-05-04/;crEnd=2017-06-27;publishDate=2017-08-24 Since Candidate Recommendation 04 May 2017, the capture IDL attribute was changed from an enumeration into a DOMString, hence the need for a new CR. Please respond on the public list with support (even a +1 will do) or any concerns by 18 August (next Friday). Silence will be taken as support. Upon agreement the CR draft should by updated by the editors to have the proper cover page, update the HTML 5 reference and update the status section to list the changes and point to an up to date diff from the last CR. Status section text will include "The CR exit criterion is two interoperable deployed implementations of each feature. No features are marked as 'at-risk'. This Candidate Recommendation is expected to advance to Proposed Recommendation no earlier than 21 September 2017." Thanks all for the work on this specification and implementations. regards, Frederick Frederick Hirsch Chair, W3C Devices and Sensors WG (DAS)
